Kauffman Tire's greatest asset is its associates, who, at 900 strong, have proven to be the best in the industry, committed to exceeding each customer's expectations. Because we realize the importance of our employees, we have developed a topnotch in house training department dedicated to developing our associates professionally and technically. Employees in all areas of the company are able to engage in several different training programs, including:
THE KAUFFMAN TIRE EDGE: This leadership development program is offered to employees who exhibit a desire to be the future leaders of Kauffman Tire. It is an eight session course in which employees learn the basic building blocks of leadership and how they can use these to advance in their career.
TIRE INDUSTRY CERTIFICATIONS (TIA): These courses designed to educate our associates in the most current tire standards are endorsed by the Rubber Manufacturer's Association, as well as the major tire manufacturers.
HANDS ON TECHNICAL TRAINING: Our experienced training staff offers in-depth technical training in our state of the art training facility in order to help advance technicians along their career path.
BOOT CAMPS: Our Training Department has developed a series of four "Boot Camps" which focus on sales, customer service, phone etiquette and community leadership.
VENDOR SPECIFIC TRAINING: Because of Kauffman Tire's relationship with many large tire manufacturers, our company is able to sponsor many different courses that provide comprehensive, hands-on training about tires, service, sales and management skills.
WEB-BASED TRAINING: These courses are designed to help educate employees about basic technical, sales and management skills so that the can gain the necessary knowledge for career development, both in our company and beyond.
MANAGER IN TRAINING PROGRAM (M.I.T.): In the first eight weeks of the program, candidates will go through departmental training at our Corporate Support Center in Ellenwood, GA. During this time, you will spend time with executives in all of our departments, learning the roles each department plays in the retail division. Candidates will get in-depth training on finance, marketing, inventory, loss prevention, information technology, human resources, as well as hands-on technical training. Having this in-depth knowledge in these areas prepares candidates to be successful in running their own Kauffman Tire store. After completing the eight-week support center training, you will be placed in a store as a manager-in-training (MIT).
